| To the Ruth Grimes Elementary Families & Community, Welcome to what promises to be an extraordinary 2024-2025 school year at Ruth Grimes Elementary! As your principal, I am energized by the innovative programs and enriching experiences we have planned for our students this year. Our identity as the flagship Dual Immersion school continues to shape our vibrant learning community. This year, we're particularly excited about our expanded early education program with our TK classrooms and our newly revamped after-school program. One of our most exciting initiatives is our Enrichment Weeks program, occurring every three weeks, where students immerse themselves in Art, STEAM, SEL, and PE activities. These structured enrichment periods ensure our students receive a well-rounded education that nurtures both their academic and personal growth. This year marks an important milestone as we launch our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). This new partnership between families and educators will strengthen our school community and create even more opportunities for parent involvement and student success. Our parent, staff, and student leadership teams have worked together to craft an engaging calendar of events designed to bring families, educators, and students together. From our monthly Family Nights to our Spring Community Picnic and our culminating Cultures Around the World celebration in May, each event celebrates the diverse tapestry of our Grimes community while creating meaningful connections between home and school. We're thrilled about the significant improvements to our campus, particularly our new TK classroom and our library's upgrade. These spaces will serve as a dynamic hub for learning, and we can't wait for our students to enjoy. Along with our other campus enhancements, these thoughtful upgrades reflect our dedication to providing the best possible educational experience for every child who walks through our doors. I invite you to be an active part of our school community this year. Whether through joining our new PTO, attending our family events, volunteering in classrooms, or participating in our parent committees, your involvement enriches our school environment and directly impacts student success. Together, we're building more than just an educational institution – we're nurturing a community where every student can thrive, explore, and grow. | A las Familias y Comunidad de la Escuela Primaria Ruth Grimes: ¡Bienvenidos a lo que promete ser un extraordinario año escolar 2024-2025 en la Primaria Ruth Grimes! Como su directora, me siento entusiasmada por los programas innovadores y las experiencias enriquecedoras que hemos planificado para nuestros estudiantes este año. Nuestra identidad como escuela líder en Inmersión Dual continúa moldeando nuestra vibrante comunidad de aprendizaje. Este año, estamos particularmente emocionados por nuestro programa expandido de educación temprana con nuestras aulas de TK y nuestro programa después de escuela renovado. Una de nuestras iniciativas más emocionantes es nuestro programa de Semanas de Enriquecimiento, que ocurre cada tres semanas, donde los estudiantes se sumergen en actividades de Arte, STEAM, SEL y Educación Física. Estos períodos estructurados de enriquecimiento aseguran que nuestros estudiantes reciban una educación integral que nutre tanto su crecimiento académico como personal. Este año marca un hito importante con el lanzamiento de nuestra Organización de Padres y Maestros (PTO). Esta nueva colaboración entre familias y educadores fortalecerá nuestra comunidad escolar y creará aún más oportunidades para la participación de los padres y el éxito de los estudiantes. Nuestros equipos de liderazgo de padres, personal y estudiantes han trabajado juntos para crear un calendario atractivo de eventos diseñados para unir a familias, educadores y estudiantes. Desde nuestras Noches Familiares mensuales hasta nuestro Picnic Comunitario de Primavera y nuestra celebración culminante de Culturas Alrededor del Mundo en mayo, cada evento celebra el diverso tapiz de nuestra comunidad Grimes mientras crea conexiones significativas entre el hogar y la escuela. Estamos emocionados por las mejoras significativas en nuestro campus, particularmente nuestra nueva aula de TK y la renovación de nuestra biblioteca. Estos espacios servirán como un centro dinámico para el aprendizaje, y estamos ansiosos por que nuestros estudiantes los disfruten. Junto con otras mejoras del campus, estas actualizaciones reflexivas reflejan nuestra dedicación para proporcionar la mejor experiencia educativa posible para cada niño que cruza nuestras puertas. Los invito a ser parte activa de nuestra comunidad escolar este año. Ya sea uniéndose a nuestro nuevo PTO, asistiendo a nuestros eventos familiares, siendo voluntarios en las aulas o participando en nuestros comités de padres, su participación enriquece nuestro entorno escolar e impacta directamente en el éxito de los estudiantes.
